Watseka Park District...Where the fun begins!
This year the park district will be “stocking” the window with socks for the giving. Last year’s blanket drive filled the window...this year it’s stocking socks! Socks are so important to everyone and no one can have too many. Bring your donation of new socks to the park district and we will make sure they go to feet that could use them! Baby socks, toddler socks, children’s socks on up. We need all the donations in by Dec. 17 so we can disperse them on Dec. 19th. Let’s make this year just as sock-cessful as last year as we put the “Stockings” in the park district window.
Youth league basketball is an 8-week program beginning January 9th. Games and practices will be on Saturdays. This year we will be working with the WCHS Boys and Girls coaches and players. They will be assisting with practices on January 9, 16 and 23 and then assisting with practices and games on January 30, February 6, 13, 20 and 27. There will still be a need for parents to help during the practices. There will be a more structured and regimented method to practices so that the same fundamentals are taught. Registrations are due by December 7th!!
Do you feel like you need a night out with lot’s of fun? Do you think you can sort colored M & M’s in a specific order with a specific hand in less than 60 seconds?
